16th Terrace and Thornton Phase 2 and 3 Stormwater Repairs
16th Terrace & Thornton Phase 2 and 3 Stormwater Repairs
Project Number: 2018-897
Description of Work:
This project is the second and third part of a three phase project that will replace a deteriorated corrugated metal pipe, regrade the creek channel, and install rock ditch checks to slow the stormwater run-off and prevent creek bank erosion behind homes on the east side of 16th Terrace from Thornton St. south to Vilas.
This project will also install a swale along the north side of Thornton Street at the end of 16th Street to the detention basin that was built in phase 1. The swale will collect water from the hillside to the north and route it to the west into the detention basin in an effort to control neighborhood flooding during moderate rainfall events.
