Pet Shelter Angel Tree available to aid animals in need
The City of Leavenworth’s Animal Control is offering a Pet Shelter Angel Tree to help homeless animals at the shelter, 2019 S. 3rd St.
A holiday Angel Tree has been placed at the shelter along with a box for donations. Needs include: dog and cat toys, kitty litter, laundry soap and many others. Lists of these needs are available at the front desk. Patrons may stop by the shelter, pick up the list and return needed items to the donation box.
The angel tree will be on display now through the end of the year. The shelter also encourages donors to consider adopting a shelter pet. Adoptions can take place anytime the Leavenworth Animal Control is open, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments to meet the pets may be possible during other times based on staff availability.

- HE Laundry Soap
- Hard Dog toys
- Cat Beds
- Large Rawhide
- Large Dog harness
- Puppy Pads
- Dog Treats
- Dish Soap
- Pate cat food
