First half trash bag delivery takes place Nov. 20

Trash bag delivery for fall is taking place beginning Saturday, Nov. 20. Our partner organization, the local Lions Club, plans to deliver door-to-door rolls of trash bags to the EAST side of Leavenworth beginning at 7 a.m.
The remainder of the the community will be delivered at a later date.
Worldwide shipping delays have caused a problem with the delivery of trash bags that were originally scheduled to be distributed in September. In November, the City of Leavenworth received about 9,000 rolls of trash bags; which covers about half of the households in the community. As soon as staff are able to receive the second shipment of trash bags, they will be delivered to the west half of the community.
Description:
North 13th will be split from Metropolitan south to Ottawa. Ottawa will be split from north 13th east to North 10th. North 10th will be split south to Thornton.
South 15th will be split from Thornton south to Limit. The Streets off of South 14th south of Limit as well as the Wellington subdivison will be included on 11/20.
