City provides Community Support Grants to organizations

This week, the City of Leavenworth was able to award six Community Support Grants for the purpose of meeting public needs. Organizations' services must fit within categories reviewed by the City Commission.

  • The Leavenworth Mission - $10,000

  • The Salvation Army of Leavenworth County - $5,000

  • Kansas City Kansas Community College - $25,000

  • University of Saint Mary - $25,000

  • The Leavenworth Public Library - $10,000

  • Leavenworth County Backpack Buddies - $10,000

This is the first round of grants that were approved. Staff anticipate being able to provide additional funding for more grants at a later date.
