Budget discussions planned for upcoming 2025 annual year

The Leavenworth City Commission will review the Proposed - City of Leavenworth 2025 Operating Budget and the 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program  at a daylong study session 8:30 a.m. Friday June 28, 2024 at the City Commission chambers, 100 N. Fifth Street. All City Commission meetings are open to the public. This session is designed for the commission to consult with internal staff leadership and ask questions about the budget.

The City Commission is scheduled to hold a revenue neutral rate public hearing followed by a budget public hearing during their regular meeting at 6 p.m. August 27, 2024 at City Hall, 100 N. Fifth Street. After the revenue neutral hearing and prior to the budget hearing, there will be a vote to consider exceeding the revenue neutral rate. After the budget hearing, there will be a vote regarding the 2025 Proposed Operating Budget and 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Plan.

There is one copy each of the budget proposal for the public to view at the City Clerk’s office, 100 N. Fifth Street, and the Leavenworth Public Library, 417 Spruce Street.
