Finance Director

Finance Director:  The City of Leavenworth is seeking a qualified professional to direct and coordinate the varied functions of the Finance Department. This position performs a variety of complex supervisory, professional, and technical accounting and finance functions in maintaining the financial records and systems of the City; is responsible for the planning, developing, and maintaining the accounting and budgetary processes for the City to include the City’s operating and capital budgets; and is responsible for the oversight of all financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll purchasing, cash and investment management, and financial reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting or closely related field; and
Five (5) years of continuous and progressively responsible experience in local government finance, accounting, or budgeting, or a minimum of seven (7) years of professional finance/accounting experience; and a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience; and
possess a valid driver’s license.

Salary:  $91,674 plus excellent benefits.
